Ryan Ritter is a native born Texan, raised in Irving. He attended high school at Jesuit College Preparatory in Dallas and graduated in 2003. After high school, he attended the University of Notre Dame and graduated in 2007, majoring in Computer Engineering. He has now moved back to his home town of Irving and currently works as a Convergence Engineer with Coppell based Shared Technologies, Inc. Ryan has been a life-long fan of all Dallas sports teams, and ever since he set foot in South Bend, a die-hard fan of the Fighting Irish.
Sports have always been a major passion for Ryan. He played baseball all the way through his high school years, and while at Notre Dame, he continued to find a way to stay involved with varsity athletics by becoming a Student Manager for Notre Dame. During his Sophomore year in 2005, he was selected as one of only 21 managers to continue working in the program, allowing him to work exclusively with Notre Dame football for the 2005 season. This year also happened to be a major transitional year for the Irish as it was Charlie Weis’ first year at the helm. Ryan was able to have an insider’s view of one of the most exciting seasons in Notre Dames history and also learned far more about the game of football than he thought possible. At the conclusion of the 2005 season, Ryan was then named the head manager for men’s and women’s golf and was able to partake in the men’s Big East title in the Spring of 2006.
Ryan first started writing for DallasProSports.com at the beginning of the 2009 NFL Season. He contributes regularly to the DallasProSports.com Fantasy Football Panel and also currently writes weekly column covering the Dallas Cowboys in his “Romo Friendly” Offense series. You can also find more of his work at his personal website and blog, NDTex.com, in which he mainly covers Notre Dame athletics and Dallas sports. He also dabbles in covering news and happenings in technology, video games, movies or anything else that he feels a strong urge to write about.
