Jason Reid of the Redskins Insider wrote yesterday that he received a text message from former Redskins kicker Shaun Suisham that he has a tryout scheduled Monday (today) with the Dallas Cowboys.
Suisham was cut from the Washington Redskins on December 8th. That’s right. Thirteen days ago. Let me put this into perspective. THIRTEEN DAYS AGO, he was deemed unworthy of his job on a then horrible losing team. And this is potentially our Nick Folk replacement?
Granted, Suisham was 18 of 21 field goal attempts this season, and he was the most accurate field goal kicker the Redskins have ever had. But his missed field goal at the end of the game against the New Orleans Saints cost them the game. New Orleans came back in overtime to win. So he choked at a HUGE game winning opportunity.
Awesome. Do we have any draft picks left post-Roy Williams that we can toss away for him? No? Too bad.
