It’s time for the big showdown. Dallas and Philadelphia. Dallas wins the coin toss and opts to kick. (Refresh your screen every couple minutes to get the latest updates).
First Quarter
The Eagles drive down the field, relying on Brian Westbrook, only to be stopped by Dallas and forced to kick a field goal. Eagles are winning at the commercial break, 3-0.
Cowboys with the ball. Nice pass to Terrell Owens for the first down. Romo flips the ball out to Marion Barber for a two yard gain. Romo throws to Terrell Owens for a 72 yard touchdown! Point after is good. Dallas leads the Eagles, 7-3.
Donovan McNabb begins the march down the field. Putting Westbrook as a wide out kept Dallas off balance. Incomplete pass out to Westbrook on the wing. Eagles to kick a field goal. 44 yard field goal is good. Dallas leads Philadelphia, 7-6.
On the kick return, Felix Jones runs 98 yards for a touchdown. Kick after is good. Dallas leads 14-6.
Philadelphia at the 29 yard line. 60 yard pass is deflected by Jenkins. Would have been a touchdown. Eagles to punt.
53 seconds to go in the First Quarter. Dallas starts their drive at the 27. Marion Barber rushes for two yards up the middle. Romo avoids the sack, hurries the throw, and throws an interception to Asante Samuel.
McNabb airs it out into the end zone. Anthony Henry called for pass interference even though the receiver was pulling his jersey. Eagles have the ball at the 1 yard line at the end of the quarter.
Second Quarter
Eagles at the 1. False start, offense. 5 yard penalty. Still first down. Eagles at the 6. McNabb passes to Westbrook, who takes it into the left corner of the endzone. Touchdown. Point after good. Cowboys lead Eagles 14-13.
Stanbeck fumbles the kick return, recovers the ball, and is tackled at the 5. Offside on Dallas. Romo fumbles in the endzone, picks it up, fumbles again upon contact, and Eagles recover for a touchdown. The point after is good. Eagles lead, 20-14.
Felix Jones returns the kick to the 48 yard line. Felix Jones rushes for 6. 21 yard pass to Bennett. Cowboys on the 16 yard line. Barber runs for 1 yard. Barber runs to the 4 yard line for a 1st down. Romo passes to Terrell Owens for a touchdown. Cowboys lead, 21-20.
McNabb airs it out to DeSean Jackson for a 68 yard touchdown. Dallas challenges the receiver had control of the football at upon entering the endzone, because Jackson lets it go on the 1 yard line. Challenge is upheld. Westbrook dives over the pack for a touchdown. Point after is good. Philly leads, 27-21.
Kick return is minimal. Tony Romo airs it out to Terrell Owens for 50+ yards, but it’s called back on a holding penalty. Short pass to Crayton, who fumbles and recovers his own fumble before being tackled. Romo throws incomplete pass to Crayton. Dallas punts.
DeSean Jackson receives the punt and runs for about 7 yards. Donovan McNabb is sacked by Greg Ellis. McNabb finds Jackson for a 21 yard gain. Timeout, Philly. Westbrook tackled in the backfield by Chris Canty. McNabb overthrows LJ Smith in the endzone. Dallas called for holding penalty, 5 yards. Westbrook tackled at the line of scrimmage. Eagles kick a field goal. Philly leads, 30-21.
Felix Jones returns the kick from the endzone to the 22 yard line. Romo throws to Witten for 3 yards. Romo throws to Witten for 42 yards. Dallas calls timeout with 7 seconds in the half. Nick Folk to kick a 51 yard field goal. The kick is good. with 3 seconds in the half, Philly leads, 30-24.
Halftime.
Sorry for not continuing in the 2nd Half. The game was so exciting, we couldn’t keep up! All you need to know is Cowboys win! Dallas defeats Philadelphia, 41-37.

Finally – a Monday Night Football game that feels like the best matchup of the week. NBC’s usurping of the nighttime matchup on Sunday night has been fairly complete, but tonight is an old-fasioned barnburner.
