Marion and Julius returned to the field Sunday, with their teams posting vastly different results.
Julius Jones and his Seahawks made the trip east for an early kickoff against the Giants. We all know how West Coast teams struggle in early kickoffs out east and ths was no exception, as the defending champs pounded Seattle 44-6. Jones was pretty much a non-factor, as he racked up 61 yards rushing on 17 carries and had a reception for 13 yards. Julius looked strong early, but as the Giants imposed their will, he had a harder time getting loose, especially with in team in catch-up mode.
Later on, the Cowboys and Marion Barber raced out to a 17-0 lead and held to to a 31-22 victory. Dallas made a more concerted effort to get the running game going, as Barber carried 23 times for 84 yards and added 2 receptions for 8 yards. Barber had a couple of decent runs and also fumbled the ball, but the Cowboys were able to retain possession.
Next week, the Seahawks host Green Bay while the Cowboys go out to the desert to visit the Cardinals.
