I’m seriously starting to second guess my career choice. Looking at Greg Buckner, I can’t help but believe that I might have made it to the NBA for at least a few seasons as a walk-on had I taken better care of my ankles in high school. Oh, hindsight, you miserable @*$%.

I wish I was good enough to be a has-been, because then I could get paid to NOT play. Look at Greg Buckner. Mavs picked him up in a package deal only to “release” him this week. Oh, and did I mention that Buckner gets paid $1million for absolutely nothing? What a racket. All he has to do is get picked up, traded, and released a few times in his career and Greg is sitting on a pot of free money.

Buckner’s contract was for $4million with $1million guaranteed. Mark Cuban, being the consumate gentleman that he is, fulfilled his promise to release Buckner early enough for him to get picked up by another team if Dallas couldn’t use him as trade bait.

No trades were made, so Buckner walks with a nice shiny unearned $1million dollar bill. You get the picture.
