Following last night’s loss to the Cowboys, speculation abounds as to the future of one Michael Vick. The Media did as the Media does and blew his arrival in Philly WAY out of proportion. Of course, no one really knew what he would be on that Eagles team, but it turns out that even in a heated battle with division rivals, Vick is deployed for a measly two plays. And deployed unproductively, I might add.
5 “No Free Lunch” (NFL) teams may as well already call it a season and mail it in.
What is going on in the NFL this season? With the third team making a major personnel change this preseason by firing a prominent coach/coordinator, and two teams keeping it under wraps just who will be their starting quarterback, this season is off to as big a Bizarro/Earth2 reminiscent one as I can recall in recent years. I would also venture to say all of these teams are probably in dire straits, based upon these events and how they performed last season. Let’s get to the discussion.
Check out this SIRIUS/XM radio interview with Terrell Owens from early August. Owens has that team-player attitude we’ve come to expect year one with any team. The question comes out mid-interview about what Terrell Owens is playing for, given his one year contract.
Owens says he has no personal goals… he’s just trying to get the team in the right playoff position for possible Arizona Cardinal-like success.
