These are the results of my long term fantasy league: No keepers, fairly balanced offensive stats, a little love is given to the defense.
I had the #2 Pick on odd rounds and #27 for even rounds in a 14 team league. Here’s who I got:
1. Adrian Peterson – if the owner before you does not take Peterson, what are you thinking? There are 90 seconds on the board, so you research if there are any late injury updates is what you do….nope. Did you see that 75 rip the other night for a touch? Easily the only #1 choice.
Whether you’ve already picked your fantasy football team or your draft is coming up this weekend, you can benefit from today’s post. We’ve pulled together six hardcore fantasy football “experts” into a panel and asked them all the same question. With their insight, you just might find that one pick or trade that’s a total steal.
Joining today’s panel are Tim Leckie, Steve Plunkett, Steve Hartline, Ryan Ritter, Derek Sanders, and Nathan Holman.
Let’s get started. Who are YOUR top five sleeper picks?
As you no doubt read in the last post, I shared my Top 12 picks in this years FF draft prior to my league’s actual draft. Well, the draft has come and gone, and the results are in. In our league, you start three wide receivers and two running backs. Here’s how it worked out for me:
Round 1, Pick #9 – Frank Gore
Not a bad pick at #9, as all the top running backs were gone as expected.
Round 2, Pick #4 – Dwayne Bowe
I know someone somewhere is wondering why the heck I picked Bowe in Round 2. I can only tell you I’m playing a hunch.
Round 3, Pick #9 – Terrell Owens
This is an incredible pick at the 33rd pick in the draft. Hate the guy’s attitude and immaturity all you want, he gets fantasy results. I’m extremely happy with this one.
Many of you jumped on the Marion Barber bandwagon early on, and when Fantasy Football draft day came, you jumped at the chance to have the new starting running back for the Dallas Cowboys on your team. But my question to you: Is he worth it?
I’m not a Barber hater by any stretch. I think he brings much needed toughness and aggressive force to the team. He is a force to be reckoned with. But in terms of Fantasy Football, is he really the back you wanted? Granted, he contributed 140 yards rushing and a touchdown reception as well against Green Bay, but who really thinks Wade Phillips will continue to give Barber this many carries? Isn’t it much more likely that the Cowboys will limit the number of touches Barber gets in the weeks ahead and spread the remainder between Felix Jones and Tashard Choice?

Fantasy Football: Any Regrets Over Drafting Barber?
