This Wednesday, I will analyze the NFC East quarterbacks based on their opening weekend perfomances.
Stats gathered from Yahoo! Sports.
Tony Romo, Dallas Cowboys
What else needs to be said other than “Romo Being Romo?”
He’s lights out for 3 1/2 quarters but the 1/2 a quarter he was off, he was way off and it (mostly) cost the Cowboys a victory.
Romo finished the game 23-36 for 342 yards, 2 TDs and 1 (huge) INT for a QB rating of 101.9. In the 4th quarter alone, he fumbled inside the 5 yard line, threw into double coverage, resulting in the interception and fumbled a snap with less than 10 seconds remaining because he wasn’t ready to receive it from center.

We’re only in Week 3, but Michael Vick is playing out of his mind. He’s played two and a half games, but Vick is in the top 10-12 for passing yards in the NFL with 750. He’s leading Carson Palmer, Matt Ryan, Joe Flacco, Matt Hasselbeck, Brett Favre, Mark Sanchez and a host of others.
The good news after all the NFC East teams played this week is that Dallas isn’t that far from the lead despite their 2-0 start. The bad news is that with Vick at the helm, the Eagles are showing no signs of letting up.
Following last night’s loss to the Cowboys, speculation abounds as to the future of one Michael Vick. The Media did as the Media does and blew his arrival in Philly WAY out of proportion. Of course, no one really knew what he would be on that Eagles team, but it turns out that even in a heated battle with division rivals, Vick is deployed for a measly two plays. And deployed unproductively, I might add.
In case you missed the 60 Minutes interview with Michael Vick, watch it here below. Watch his eyes and facial expressions when he says he how he’s sorry and what he did was wrong. Looks more like a poker face than a remorseful face.
Having said that, does it really matter whether he is sorry? He’s still probably a very good football player. I just don’t like being lied to.

After you’ve answered the poll, share your comments below. This poll assumes several unspoken issues all at once. We’ll break them down in future posts to get the most accurate view of how our readers approach the game. The most obvious is: Would you rather have a talented player and good citizen who tears down quarterbacks or a talented player and law breaker who brings teams together?
Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.

In a press conference earlier this morning, Eagles coach Andy Reid made two statements that together don’t make sense. First off, when questioned about what position Michael Vick will play, Andy Reid carefully stated, “Mike is a quarterback. He’s always been a quarterback.” Okay, so he’s a quarterback. Check. So will he be Philly’s backup to Donovan McNabb?
Reid’s answer? No. “Kevin Kolb is still our #2 quarterback.” Do what? You paid Michael Vick $1 million plus to play 3rd string?

Michael Vick says the “right” things and comes across as humble. Then again, as long as he can play, does anyone care? Check out the video after the break.
