That forced fumble at the end of the game was worth the whole nerve wracking experience. Watch it again.

Each Wednesday, I’ll be analyzing the teams in the NFC East by position. This week, I’ll start with running backs.

The information in the depth charts was gathered from Yahoo! Sports

Dallas Cowboys

Felix Jones
Tashard Choice
DeMarco Murray

A slimmer, hopefully quicker, Felix Jones will go into the season as the number one back for the Cowboys, with Tashard Choice and rookie DeMarco Murray battling for the number two slot.

Get ready to pack it in, Cowboys fans. The season is almost over. Dallas needs to go 3-2 in the last five games in order to have a shot at the playoffs, and they’ve already lost the first two opportunities. Next week is New Orleans, and it would take more than a little miracle for Dallas to pull off a win there. While two wins “might” get them into the last Wildcard spot, they’d be depending on New York to lose.

With their confidence brimming and a 3-game win streak in hand, the Dallas Cowboys will be playing the 1st “biggest game” of the 2009 season. On Sunday night, Tony Romo and company head to Lincoln Financial Field to face a very formidable, and recently dominant looking Philadelphia Eagles team that is also sitting at 5-2. There’s no doubt that this game will certainly show the entire league how the latter half of the season could play out in terms of who comes out atop the NFC East after week 17.

It’s game time! Welcome to DallasProSports.com on this fabulous Sunday morning! This week the Seattle Seahawks square off against your Dallas Cowboys in the great non-factor known as Cowboys Stadium. Cowboys fans will get the treat of seeing Julius Jones back in action, and see whether their team made the right decision in letting Julius go.

With all this Three Headed Monster goodness, it’s easy to forget the state of the union just a few short years ago. Julius Jones of Notre Dame was the Cowboys’ starting running back , and Marion “The Barbarian” Barber of Minnesota was making a name for himself as the league’s biggest bruiser. Julius had a sub par year or two and we the fans called for his head on a platter.

As desperate as the Cowboys fans are for recapturing a little of the Glory Days, you can pardon our exuberance in the solid victory over the 4-1 NFC South contending Atlanta Falcons this past Sunday. But before we call a wrap to the season and start printing play-off tickets, let’s take a quick gander at just what happened in that game.
