The Cowboys definitely made me eat my words this past Sunday. The Cowboys were flat out dominant against the Eagles in round two of their three round bout. For the most part, the worries I had last week about the lack of execution that plagued the Washington effort were not to be found this time around. Last week I felt like the Cowboys were fortunate to have a great defensive effort. This week I felt like they could not be stopped.

Goodbye to the regular season, and hello to the playoffs people! It’s time for The Warmup. On Sunday afternoon, the Dallas Cowboys won their second NFC East title in three years and they did it by dominating a divisional opponent who was thought by many to be the best team in the NFC.

Week 17 approaches, and it’s time we pooled our collective wisdom and made some predictions about this Cowboys team. Joining us is Anthony, Steve, Ryan, and Michi.

1. Who wins on Sunday? How deep will the Cowboys go in the playoffs?

Anthony Franklin: I think the Cowboys finally get it. “It” being that sense of urgency that has been lacking in years past. With that being said, I think they’ll beat the Eagles Sunday to win the division and after that, I believe this team will go as far as the defense will take it. With the way the rest of the NFC playoff participants are performing, it doesn’t sound too crazy to say the Cowboys have a very good chance at getting to the Super Bowl.

The first thing to say here is, congratulations! Congratulations to the Cowboys players and coaching staff for making the post-season. Congratulations to the team for winning some important games in December that has given them a shot at not only the Division, bet even a first round bye if the right teams lose this Sunday!

Get ready to pack it in, Cowboys fans. The season is almost over. Dallas needs to go 3-2 in the last five games in order to have a shot at the playoffs, and they’ve already lost the first two opportunities. Next week is New Orleans, and it would take more than a little miracle for Dallas to pull off a win there. While two wins “might” get them into the last Wildcard spot, they’d be depending on New York to lose.

Another week, another win, and of course, it’s time for another breakdown of the Cowboys offensive effort. While the Cowboys came far from “lighting up” the Eagles, they continued their now four week trend of solid offensive effort. Over these past few weeks, it’s quite clear that the secret to offensive success is to rely heavily on Romo. If Romo can spread the ball around, not turn the ball over, and make plays, the Cowboys win.

You gotta see this again! Dallas pulls out perhaps the most important win of the season and claiming #1 position in the NFC East.

Following last night’s loss to the Cowboys, speculation abounds as to the future of one Michael Vick. The Media did as the Media does and blew his arrival in Philly WAY out of proportion. Of course, no one really knew what he would be on that Eagles team, but it turns out that even in a heated battle with division rivals, Vick is deployed for a measly two plays. And deployed unproductively, I might add.

Tonight, the Dallas Cowboys will return to the scene of the crime. The dreaded ground where thsea tragically and embarrassingly ended last season. The scene of said crime was Lincoln field in Philadelphia. This needs to be a game where the cowboys arrive with revenge on their minds.
