Another week, another win, and of course, it’s time for another breakdown of the Cowboys offensive effort. While the Cowboys came far from “lighting up” the Eagles, they continued their now four week trend of solid offensive effort. Over these past few weeks, it’s quite clear that the secret to offensive success is to rely heavily on Romo. If Romo can spread the ball around, not turn the ball over, and make plays, the Cowboys win.

Another week has passed and has brought us yet another successful victory for the Cowboys. The ‘Boys completely dominated on the offensive side of the ball once again and Romo seemed to have his way with the Seahawks. Last week, I attributed similar success primarily to the great play of Romo. So was this yet another week when the “Romo Friendly” offense became the “Romo Driven” offense?

Well folks, it’s been an awful long time since I’ve been able to watch and break down an offensive effort that was, I dare say, impressive. Let’s take a dive into what made this week so different from the rest.
Just how “Romo Friendly” were we?

We’re half a week behind due to scheduling issues, so we’ll make this our week to catch up. I’ll cover Week 4 today and hit Week 5 later in the week. Week 3 left me scratching my head as to why Garrett wanted to get far too cute with the offense and not shove the ball down the Panthers’ collective throat via the ground game. So how did the Cowboys fare against what seemed to be a rather stout Denver defense? Let’s find out.

Last we left the “Romo Friendly” offense, Romo found himself in anything but a friendly situation. I more or less blasted Garret for being rather stubborn and trying to continue passing the ball when Romo was having a less than stellar outing, all while the running game was clicking on all cylinders. Did Garrett learn from his mistakes last week? Did we have an actual return to “Romo Friendly” territory? And of course, most importantly, how effective was the offense on Monday night? Let’s dive into Monday night’s game and find out.

Week 2 vs. New York Giants
Week 2 had to happen and make us wonder what in the hell Romo and Garrett were thinking. Romo went from his best day as a Cowboy to probably his worst going 13/29 for 127 yards and he threw 3 INTs. Oh boy, this was a mess…anyways, let’s try to find out just where things went wrong here and how “Romo Friendly” became “Romo Hell”.
There is no doubt that if you have follow the Cowboys in pretty much any capacity, you have heard the term “Romo Friendly” thrown around more than once as the new offensive philosophy for the Cowboys. Of course though, we all got very little info on what that term actually meant as descriptions were cryptic to say the least.
The general consensus is that “Romo Friendly” likely refers to a more balanced offensive attack than previous years.
