Following last night’s loss to the Cowboys, speculation abounds as to the future of one Michael Vick. The Media did as the Media does and blew his arrival in Philly WAY out of proportion. Of course, no one really knew what he would be on that Eagles team, but it turns out that even in a heated battle with division rivals, Vick is deployed for a measly two plays. And deployed unproductively, I might add.
There is no doubt that if you have follow the Cowboys in pretty much any capacity, you have heard the term “Romo Friendly” thrown around more than once as the new offensive philosophy for the Cowboys. Of course though, we all got very little info on what that term actually meant as descriptions were cryptic to say the least.
The general consensus is that “Romo Friendly” likely refers to a more balanced offensive attack than previous years.

We haven’t heard any quotable slogans out of the Owens camp yet, so maybe T.O. has chosen more of a silent but deadly approach since the “Get Your Popcorn Ready” days.
Tonight, two of the greatest wide receivers in the league square off in a rivalry game that has massive implications for the Buffalo Bills. Should they upset, Buffalo will automatically have a shot at the #1 spot in their division.
Granted, it’s not so easy for wide receivers to have big nights whenever they want. They depend on quarterbacks, offensive lines, beating the cornerbacks, etc. Plus their quarterbacks may feel more comfortable looking to another receiver first, depending on coverage. Still, who do YOU say has the bigger night?

After you’ve answered the poll, share your comments below. This poll assumes several unspoken issues all at once. We’ll break them down in future posts to get the most accurate view of how our readers approach the game. The most obvious is: Would you rather have a talented player and good citizen who tears down quarterbacks or a talented player and law breaker who brings teams together?

Check out this SIRIUS/XM radio interview with Terrell Owens from early August. Owens has that team-player attitude we’ve come to expect year one with any team. The question comes out mid-interview about what Terrell Owens is playing for, given his one year contract.
Owens says he has no personal goals… he’s just trying to get the team in the right playoff position for possible Arizona Cardinal-like success.
- wow. Yahoo auto rankings have Michael Turner at #2 in fantasy football drafts. that’s more than a bit unbalanced. #
- dear @Yahoo, why isn’t Sam Hurd on the Fantasy Football Draft? this is going to be his breakout year. #
- recommend you stay away from Barber for the first couple rounds. Marion the Barbarian will only have a couple breakout games this year. #

Catch TO’s comments after the Cowboys win over the Giants right here. Nice hat, TO.
Here are the Big Three, smiling and joking like there was never a problem. Of course, this didn’t have to be as big a deal as the media made it. This is what happens when the media is desperate to make news to sell ads.
This just further proves that in professional sports, winning solves almost all ills. Losing draws them to the surface.
Sorry, Terrell. If you want to gloat after a game, gloat after the Steelers game. A 200+ yard game is excellent by any standards, but you did so against a mediocre defense that didn’t jam you at the line.
Until you get jammed and still show us the goods, you’re just a diva who won’t dive or jump for balls. And though the refs didn’t see it, everyone else saw your shove that gave you enough room to catch one of your longer passes yesterday.
So congratulations. You helped the Cowboys win. But did you see what Randy Moss did yesterday? ’nuff said.
Terrell Owens, Patrick Crayton, Miles Austin, Isaiah Stanbeck, and Sam Hurd. This was how the wide receiver corps for the Dallas Cowboys started out this year. Throw in the tight ends – Whitten, Bennett, and Curtis – and the running backs – Barber, Jones, and Choice – and this Dallas offense was loaded with potential. As the season kicked off this year, they were picked by everyone in the league as the most dominant offensive grouping that the league had to offer. Tony Romo at the helm gave us confidence, and his “miracle worker” style had everyone picking these Cowboys to go all the way. As we all know, the hype that is the prelude to the season is seldom as exciting as the reality of it.
After the past three weeks of play, it’s fair to question the motives and goals of Dallas Cowboys star wide receiver, Terrell Owens. Yes, he can be a playmaker. Yes, he can be a difference maker. And yes, he can be completely ineffective and useless.
I bought into the hype and felt Terrell Owens had become a satisfied man in Dallas. After all, he wears The Star and plays with one of the most talented offenses in the game. And with New England’s Tom Brady going down in week one, most Monday Morning Quarterbacks felt that the Cowboys All Star wide out was this year’s heir apparent to last year’s Randy Moss like fantasy numbers. I brought my popcorn weekly to the show and thought things were good.
