A few days ago, Dirk was injured during the game against Houston. Dirk literally had a couple teeth embedded in his elbow. That is probably the first and last time I will ever use that sentence.

Dirk health update
ESPNDallas.com reports that coach Rick Carlisle has said they will revisit whether Dirk is ready to play before each game.
Nowitzki said he’s hoping for a Tuesday return.
“I’m on every pill there is,” he said. “We’ll just see how it responds. If it’s not Tuesday, definitely on [Saturday].”
What happened to Landry?
Chron.com noted that after losing a few teeth, Landry returned to practice Monday and pronounced himself fit to play in Tuesday night’s game.
Landry endured six hours of surgery to repair his teeth. He said two were clipped at his gum line, and he has temporary fixes. He has been relegated to eating soft foods — soup, yogurt, “healthy stuff,” he said — and is not sure when he will get back to solids.
“It’s not going to stop me,” Landry said. “It wasn’t life-threatening or anything. It was a little bit of pain. We all go through things in life where it’s kind of painful. You fall, but you get back up again, and that’s what I did.”
